in the sloping meadows, alongside lakes and rivers, there are rich, lush pastures and cows that give us delicious milk...

Rivers and lakes quench the fields and grazing pastures on the hillsides of the Vidzeme highlands.

The natural diversity and climate of these highlands is unique, forming a mixed soil that does not exist anywhere else in Latvia. The meadows that cover the hills and slopes, provide a good balance of nourishment in every pasture.

The delicious Cesvaine milk comes from cattle that enjoy the lush pastures and a wholesome diet. Every morning, our dairymaster tastes the milk that has been delivered from 38 local farms.

Only natural ingredients are used for the making of Cesvaine Cheese. They contain no additives, preservatives or flavour enhancers. The golden-coloured Gouda style cheeses, however, do contain the natural colourant annatto, which is the only one we venture to add.

To release the true, natural flavours of cheese, we recommend serving it at room temperature.
